How to Collaborate Using UpStyled Fashion
UpStyled Fashion allows you to share Moodboards, Collections, Styles, and Tech Packs with your creative peers, or design team, to collaborate in real time.
Collaborating allows you to operate in a shared workspace, streamlining your development process with the help of other UpStyled Fashion users. Collaborators can be assigned one of two distinct roles (1. Viewer, and 2. Editor), giving your team a hierarchy that allows for smoother group work.
Getting Started
After creating either a Moodboard, Collection, Style, or Tech Pack, you can easily share them with your collaborators and begin utilizing your shared workspace.
Once you’ve shared a file with your collaborators, stay up to date by viewing your team on the main Dashboard:
Sharing a Collection Example
- Select the contents that you would like to share (for this example we will be referring to Collection sharing)
- Click the “SHARE” button found in the top right corner, right above your Moodboard

-

Note
By sharing a Collection with your collaborators, you are agreeing to share all contents within that Collection. This includes all of the Styles, Moodboards, and Tech Packs that fall under this given Collection.
Info
If you wish to share content on an individual basis (i.e. sharing just one t-shirt), you can repeat steps 1-4 on any given Moodboard, Style, or Tech Pack as well.
What You Can Accomplish in Collaboration
Collaborating on UpStyled Fashion allows you to work together and bounce ideas off of your closest, most creative peers. Everyone has their specialty, and by using UpStyled Fashions’ collaboration tool, Designers are able to showcase their individual talents to create one cohesive masterpiece.
Moodboard Sharing
It’s difficult to create a great Moodboard without the help of a team! Collaborators given the “Editor” title are granted permission to engage in the following tasks: 1. Add/Delete/Move Images 2. Add/Edit/Delete/Move new Colors 3. Add/Edit/Delete/Move YouTube or Spotify links 4. Make comments 5. Use the group discussion chatroom
If a collaborator is only given access as a “Viewer”, they will only be able to view the Moodboard, leave comments, and use the group discussion chatroom. To change your collaborators’ permissions, click on their profile image next to the “SHARE” button.
Collection Sharing
Your Collections are the best way to stay organized when working on a similar group of Styles. Sharing a Collection will grant your collaborators access to any given Moodboards, Styles, and Tech Packs found in that particular Collection.
When sharing your Collections, collaborators given the “Editor” title will be granted the following permissions: 1. Freedom to edit Moodboard in any way, at any time 2. Group discussion pertaining to all Styles in the given Collection 3. Complete access and creative freedom to edit your Tech Packs
If a collaborator is only given access as a “Viewer”, they will only be able to view your Collection, including the Moodboard, Styles, and Tech Packs. Viewers can also leave comments, and use the group discussion chatroom. To change your collaborators’ permissions, click on their profile image next to the “SHARE” button.
Note
By sharing a Collection with your collaborators, you are agreeing to share all contents within that Collection. This includes all of the Styles, Moodboards, and Tech Packs that fall under this given Collection.
Style Sharing
Sharing a Style allows your collaborators to review your product information and make any necessary changes. Our group discussion tool conveniently allows you to communicate with your team, while simultaneously viewing the Style you’re currently working on.
When sharing a Style, collaborators given the “Editor” title will be granted access to the following permissions: 1. Edit product information (i.e. Colorways, Sizes, Description, etc.) 2. Upload images of the Style 3. Use the group discussion chatroom to bounce ideas off of each other
If a collaborator is only given access as a “Viewer”, they will only be able to view the Style, leave comments, and use the group discussion chatroom. To change your collaborators’ permissions, click on their profile image next to the “SHARE” button.
Tech Pack Sharing
Tech Packing can be an unfamiliar process for new designers, and enlisting the help of your peers is the best way to get over the learning curve! Given the complexity, and seriousness of a typical Tech Pack, any changes made by your collaborators will need your final approval, before becoming finalized.
The following example demonstrates how to accept the changes made by one of your Collaborators:
When sharing a Tech Pack, collaborators with the “Editor” title will be granted access to the following permissions: 1. Add images to your Sketches, Bill of Materials, Construction Details, and Specs 2. Make changes to all data tables 3. Use annotation tools to make specific measurements and callouts on each image 4. Make comments 5. Use the group discussion
If a collaborator is only given access as a “Viewer”, they will only be able to view the Tech Pack, leave comments, and use the group discussion chatroom. To change your collaborators’ permissions, click on their profile image next to the “SHARE” button.
