Adding a Color to Your Moodboard
Add color swatches to your Modboard by choosing colors from an image on your board, using the color slider, or inserting a color value.
How to Add a Color
Adding colors is a simple, yet effective component to any great Moodboard! To add a color, just click “Add Color” on your toolbar found on the left hand side of your Moodboard.
Using the Color Eyedropper Tool
The color eyedropper tool allows you to source colors from any image found on your board.
Start by selecting “Add Color” in your toolbar, and find the eyedropper icon. Then, you will drag your eyedropper to a specific area of your moodboard, to copy its specific color. Once you’re satisfied with the color choice, just click on the area you would like to copy! The final step is giving your color a name/caption, and selecting “SAVE”.
Using the Color Slider
The color slider allows you to play around with the color wheel until you find the perfect shade and hue for your Moodboard!
Start by selecting “Add Color” in your tool bar. Next, you will see a color slider appear with. Use the slider to customize your color any way you like. When you are finished with your selection, make sure to give your color a unique name/caption, and select “SAVE”.
Typing Out a Specific Color Code
If you already have a specific color in mind, feel free to type in your code to generate the color. The following types of codes are permitted to use:
- RGB
- HSL
- HEX
To toggle between the three types of codes, use the arrows found next to the RGB on your color picker. Just copy and paste the code for your desired color, and watch it appear instantly!
